The Problem

When girls hit puberty, they lose interest in their passions, and for a lot of girls that includes coding. Let's give young girls the resources and confidence to pursue STEM in relevant places during puberty.

Inside of Book

Copy: You just read a new chapter in "The Care and Keeping of You" focused on how STEM and coding could maybe be a passion for you, even if you didn't think about it until now. You can get more involved by going to Girls Who Code club meetings to learn more, or by visiting www.girlswhocode.com

Book Takeover

Girls Who Code will also take over popular books that young girls are reading which feature characters who are going through puberty, and add information about Girls Who Code's resources.

Inside of Book

Copy: In this chapter we saw Tabitha get pushback on her desire to be a human rights activist from other girls at school, and she faltered a little. Just like how Tabitha’s passion is human rights, many young girls enjoy STEM activities like computer science or engineering. You can get more involved by going to Girls Who Code club meetings to learn more about them.
